Participation and Engagement
The BDEC is an intentionally open and collaborative group. Participants must, however, be organizations that clearly share the collective vision and goals, and which are actively working towards digital equity and digital inclusion in Baltimore.
In recognition of the various types of engagement and commitment, and in order to best represent the voices of participating organizations, we have two levels of membership:
- Member – organization or institution actively participating in the work of the coalition, with full voting rights on coalition decisions, and which gives permission for its name to be listed on BDEC website and other materials.
- Champion – organization, institution, or individual committed and aligned to the vision but for whom being a member may be a conflict of interest. (This category is application-based.)
Members are invited to join one (or more!) of our Coalition project teams, actively shape the agenda locally for priority actions and strategies, join collaborative project and grant proposals, and receive voting rights to elect coordinating council members. Properly authorized senior leadership at member organizations consenting to the responsibilities outlined should complete the following three tasks to formally join the Coalition:
- Click here to fill out this survey.
- Accept Invitations to Slack and the Listserv
- Click here to add your logo to this folder
